Welcome! This is my blog where I disseminate information regarding taxes. My plan is to alternate between tax topics, which touch on issues related to tax compliance, and tax policy, which will touch on issues related to the policy goals taxes are designed to achieve. Although my blog is called "Taxation in Texas," my emphasis will be on federal taxes, as state taxes are generally less onerous and complicated (although there are still a few quirks in state franchise and sales tax that I may touch on from time to time.
